Next week, the EDF Climate Corps team will be in Houston, Texas to attend the 35th annual National Black MBA Association Conference. This event provides networking, employment and professional development opportunities for African American MBA students and professionals.

This year’s conference theme will be “Courageous Leadership,” encouraging NBMBAA members to pursue their innovations, take risks on new ideas and lead change no matter their position or role within their organizations.

This theme resonates strongly with EDF Climate Corps as we are also seeking courageous leaders who can identify smart energy management projects that can save energy, money and the environment. This fall EDF Climate Corps is looking to recruit a new crop of graduate students who are ready to make an impact and prove themselves as tomorrow’s leaders in energy management.

If you are attending the NBMBAA Conference, be sure to stop by EDF Climate Corps’ complimentary cocktail reception on Sept 12th at the Sam Houston *17 restaurant from 6:30-8:00pm. We are proud to be co-hosting this event alongside Texas Southern University. During the reception, you will meet EDF Climate Corps staff and hear how organizations like Apple, Google, General Motors, REI, AT&T, the City of Boston and Howard University have hired EDF fellows to propel forward their energy management efforts. To ensure an easy commute, Texas Southern University is offering shuttle service from Hilton America to the *17 restaurant.

Spots are limited so be sure you RSVP here to attend our reception!

We look forward to seeing you at the event!
