EDF Climate Corps is an innovative summer fellowship program that places top-tier graduate students within organizations as dedicated energy problem solvers. Working directly with staff from operations, finance and sustainability departments, EDF Climate Corps fellows spend 10 weeks as organizational change agents for energy management. Past host organizations have included Apple, Google, General Motors, REI, AT&T, the City of Boston and Howard University.

When asked why she signed on for the 2013 EDF Climate Corps fellowship, Ashley Roberts said, “I was really attracted to the program because it deals with the big issues of climate change and energy use, yet approaches these topics in a very concrete and results oriented way. I felt this would be a great platform to learn more about how business strategies can be used to help the environment.”

This year EDF Climate Corps has expanded to include supply chain logistics operations across the United States. Select fellows will focus on freight efficiency projects such as moving to more efficient modes like ocean and rail, designing strategies for creating fuller truckloads and increasing energy efficiency in warehouses and distribution centers. If you’re interested in the supply chain logistics focus, you can apply through our regular online application, but please indicate your interest in a supply chain fellowship in your short answers and cover letter.

If you’d like to read more about the successes of the program so far, check out some of our case studies. You can also learn more on our Become a Fellow Web page.

If you are looking to break into the energy and sustainability field and join our network of hundreds of EDF Climate Corps alumni, send us your application by 5pm Pacific Time on January 9th.
