At Ingersoll Rand, Deepak Jose worked toward SEP and ISO 50001 accreditation at the Trane facility in Tyler, Texas. He scoped, analyzed and recommended energy projects such as HVAC retrofits, compressed air efficiency, demand response, power factor reduction, equipment retrofits and Local Area Network (LAN) controls.
Together, these projects could reduce Trane’s energy costs by 26.3 percent annually. Deepak also identified efficiency opportunities at the Schlage Lock facility in Colorado Springs, Colo., such as heat recovery, compressor use reduction, wastewater treatment, optimizing space temperature set points, and lighting retrofits.
Combined, these projects have the potential to reduce annual, enterprise-wide electricity usage by 1.6 percent (12.1 million kilowatt-hours), net operating costs by $3.5 million and carbon dioxide emissions by 7,000 metric tons.
