Summary

Lisa Bowers (she/her) developed a stakeholder map and a five-year proposal for a sustainability stakeholder engagement plan that can help reduce Live Nation Entertainment's indirect greenhouse gas emissions.

Goals

Live Nation enlisted Lisa to recommend solutions to reduce Scope 3 emissions and develop sustainability partnerships with suppliers.

Solutions

1. Stakeholder map: This map defines the proposed roles and responsibilities of the internal stakeholders who would contribute to the success of a sustainability supplier engagement program. Lisa met with internal stakeholders to understand their current roles and interactions with suppliers to identify the benefits, risks, and criteria for success. 2. Sustainability Supplier Engagement Roadmap Proposal: A tactical plan for developing and launching a supplier engagement program provided a step-by-step guide to jumpstart this work. Lisa assessed industry frameworks and best practices of leaders in sustainability supply chain management to develop a proposed step-by-step plan.

Potential Impact

Live Nation Entertainment has an ambitious Environmental Charter. It has taken actions at its live events to deliver on its climate commitments. By leveraging internal and external stakeholders to engage in a sustainability supplier engagement program, Live Nation can expand on this work in order to address Scope 3 emissions and continue its position as a climate leader in live events.
