Summary

Tatyana Brown assisted Under Armour with sustainability strategy and communication efforts.

Goals

Under Armour, engaged in the development, marketing and distribution of branded performance apparel, footwear and accessories for men, women and youth, enlisted Tatyana Brown to support the development of its ongoing sustainability materiality assessment and the enhancement of its next iteration of sustainability strategy, management and communication.

Solutions

Along with continuing the mapping and analysis of stakeholder sustainability perspectives across Under Armour, Brown helped to augment processes for collecting data and recommended steps aimed at supporting an evolving sustainability strategy and reporting. As an EDF Climate Corps fellow, one of Brown’s primary focus areas was to identify energy-efficiency opportunities. She, thus, helped to assemble baseline operational impact data and recommended areas for further analysis along with improvements for energy equipment, maintenance and management across Under Armour’s expanding global real estate. Brown also engaged in Under Armour Sustainability’s ongoing collaboration with other business units, helped to build and refine supplier sustainability assessment and management systems, supported ongoing work and dialogue on related product innovation and formalized both recommendations and plans for the continued incorporation of sustainability awareness and standards in operations and purchasing processes.
