Jianyu Zhou updated the structure for the visualized energy management system at Colgate-Palmolive.
The Engineering, EHS, and D&A departments of Colgate-Palmolive are collaborating to create an authentic and efficient smart energy platform for sustainable energy management. This platform will proactively identify energy-saving opportunities and optimize power consumption. Additionally, it will promptly notify the engineering and end-user departments in case of any abnormal power consumption, enabling them to respond swiftly and effectively.
JIanyu Zhou approached the challenge using a three-part process:
- Information updating and data processing: Zhou effectively updated the diagrams of the smart electricity meters, ensuring the inclusion of newly installed meters and removing any deactivated ones.
- Establishing the hierarchical structure of the power system: Zhou established a well-organized hierarchical classification structure for the meters. This structure was based on their nesting relationships, allowing for efficient data management. Moreover, Zhou seamlessly incorporated relevant data into the electric meter structure, further enhancing its integrity and effectiveness.
- Developing a mini-program of data visualization: To facilitate the analysis and identification of key areas for power optimization, Zhou skillfully developed a mini-program using Python.
Jianyu Zhou's implementation of a comprehensive three-part process had a significant impact on the establishment of a reliable energy management system at Colgate-Palmolive (China). By updating the smart electricity meter diagrams and incorporating accurate data processing, Zhou ensured an up-to-date record of the system.
The hierarchical structure Zhou established allowed for efficient data management, while the development of a data visualization mini-program enabled the identification of power optimization areas.
