Industrial Energy Efficiency
The energy efficiency of the new plant was investigated and recommendations for energy-saving and emission reduction were given based on the status of the old plant.
For now, SBD's old plant will be discontinued and replaced by a new one. In this out-of-the-old moment, some customers have asked SBD to use renewable energy to become carbon neutral, and SBD has made plans accordingly. Taking the opportunity of the EDF project, the research fellow carried out a field survey on the old plant and guided the development of the energy saving and emission reduction plan, with a view to help the company become carbon neutral as soon as possible.
According to the field survey of the old plant, the old plant was in urgent need of renewable energy as the air compressors and blowers consumed a lot of energy in their actual operation. The research fellow therefore made recommendations for the evaluation of obtaining green power/green certificate, made calculations for a rooftop PV project in the new plant, and carried out an efficiency analysis of the air compressors and blowers.
Assisted senior leaders in their business and prepared guidance on energy saving and emission reduction in order to contribute to the company’s future development.
Made recommendations for SBD on specific time planning, as well as how to choose green power.
- Provided rooftop PV return on investment analysis for the Apollo project, and proposed optimization measures that can be taken during the use of the air compressors for the purpose of achieving carbon neutrality.
